Deep South
Kantiang Bay lies towards the southern tip of Ko Lanta and provides the last little hub of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes before entering the more sparsely populated, deep south of the island. There are just three beaches further south before you reach the final point of the island – a protected National Marine Park area.
The last three beaches are Nui Bay, Waterfall Bay/ Klong Jark Bay and Bamboo Bay (Ao Mai Pai). All three beaches are secluded and quiet, offering a true castaway feel. Scattered along the shoreline, you can find a handful of resorts that range from simple family-run bungalows to mid-range luxury resorts.
