Klong Khong

Klong Khong is a very charming beach just south of Phra Ae. People are exceptionally friendly and prices are a little bit lower than at the northern beaches.

The beach is 3km long and offers you the best range of budget and traveller orientated places on the island. A lot of the resorts are family-run and have a very personal and remarkable touch. The beach has an interesting mix of bars and restaurants which keeps the party going ’til late in the night. If you are looking for a health-orientated resort, this is the right place for you. Many places offer yoga and spas, while most have a massage place on the beach.

The beach itself is not as outstanding as other beaches on Ko Lanta since a rocky reef runs along the shore. This makes it difficult for swimming but it is a great spot for amazing sunsets.
